The Bardex BOP Capture System stabilizes the BOP prior to being disconnected and placed on the BOP Transporter, (another Bardex system).

This system prevents the BOP from shifting unpredictably due to unexpected tidal forces. It utilizes two hydraulically actuated arms to close in on restrain the motion of the BOP until the riser can be disconnected.
