BARDEX CORPORATION SUPPLIES RIG SKIDDING EQUIPMENT FOR DEVON ENERGY AMERICAS’ POLVO DEVELOPMENT
Bardex Corporation, Goleta, California, was contracted by Devon Energy Americas, LLC.,
Houston, Texas, to supply a pin claw rig skidding package for its Polvo Development project,
in block BM-C-8, located in the Campos Basin offshore Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
The Bardex rig skidding system consisted of two (2) 380 ton push/pull capacity pin claw
jacking assemblies for skidding the skid base and two (2) 270 ton push/pull capacity pin
claw jacking assemblies for skidding the substructure. The order also included one,
60-horsepower hydraulic power
unit with an integral
control console assembly
providing all the instrumentation and controls necessary to operate the pin claw jacking
assemblies and the iron roughneck.
